• 1.5 hours, unlimited wardrobe changes (usually yields between 4 and 6 looks for each person)

• I limit it to two actors so that we have enough space and time. Both clients must come to the session at the same time

Terms & Conditions

When booking Val Tannuzzi Photography, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

 

Payment

A $50 retainer is required to reserve your appointment. This deposit will be applied towards the total cost of your session. Your deposit allows for ONE appointment rescheduling.

The session's balance is due in full at the time of the photo shoot. Galleries will not be delivered and orders will not be processed until payment in full is received. Methods of payment accepted: PayPal, Venmo, Zelle & Cash App. A 3% surcharge will be added to payments made through PayPal. Also accepted on shooting day: Cash & check.

What is a look?

A look is a series of 30-50 photos taken of one outfit. A new look is a change to your wardrobe and/or your hairstyle, not a change of emotions or poses. Changing accessories (like adding one jacket) doesn't count as a new look for me. For men, bearded vs clean shaven is a change of look and you are more than welcome to do this at my studio. Headshot Sessions include chest/waist up pictures only.

What is your availability?

My availability varies as I book sessions, but I prefer headshot sessions at my studio to be done  in the late afternoon -that's when the natural light is best over here. Please e-mail to find out when is the next available spot.

Do you shoot in natural light or in the studio?

All headshot sessions are done in-studio. My preferred headshot method is natural light combined with artificial lights. Stormy weather can affect your photos. I keep an eye on the weather and address accordingly.

Do you cancel due to bad weather?

Pictures can also be done with artificial lighting, however if you choose natural light headshots, storm clouds will affect the quality of the pictures and your appointment should be postponed. I only cancel due to inclement weather when I know it is going to affect your safety and/or the quality of images.

Where is your studio located?

I have a home studio in Bluffton, SC (30 mins from Savannah and 1:45 hrs. from Charleston).

I also travel to several places in SC and GA when I have a group request. If you have a confirmed group of 5 or more wanting headshots, let's talk! Planning must start within 3-4 weeks before the event.

How early should I arrive to my session?

It is important to arrive at the time scheduled, no more than 10 minutes early. I always calculate some time to get ready/chat before the starting of the photoshoot; the time given is your arrival time. Any client arriving late to the session will have the amount of time late deducted from the time allotted for the session. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without communication, I consider it a no-show, your session is cancelled and your deposit forfeited.

How long do I have to wait to get my headshots back?

Your online proofing gallery will be ready 48hrs after your shoot. Retouching will be finished 5-7 business days after your final selections are received. I always aim for as quick as possible!

I have no idea what to wear, do you offer help?

After your appointment date has been locked in, I will guide you on what to wear if you have questions.

Can I split my looks into two days?
No. If you need to shoot another look on a different day, that will require booking another session.

Can I see my images during the session?

Absolutely! I will show you your images throughout the shoot to ensure we are getting exactly what you need from the session.

Do you offer reshoots if I (or my agency) doesn't like the images?

I do not offer reshoots, revisions, or refunds other than for technical failures or malfunctions, emergencies that could arise during the photoshoot, or an issue that prevent me from delivering the agreed upon number of technically proficient images. Re-shoots will not be given for poor choices of clothing, make-up, hair OR by not following the recommendations of the photographer.

Do you photograph children?

I photograph children 5 years and older. Professional headshots for infants or small children are unnecessary as they grow and change rapidly. (All you need for casting is a good close up photo of your child's head and shoulders facing forward with good lighting.)

Referrals

 Although I take referrals from several talent, management, and modeling agencies, I do not earn or pay any commissions for referrals. I do not communicate with, or deliver images to third parties. Be VERY suspicious of any company or scout "agent" that forces you to shoot with a certain photographer. A legitimate agency shouldn’t make you use their photographer or printing company, but rather have a suggestion list and let you choose one.​

ACTING HEADSHOTS EDITING PROCESS

It is important to remember that acting headshots are not fashion/beauty portraits. Minor temporary imperfections, such as blemishes and stray hairs can be removed, however things like scars and birth marks will not be removed completely, but lightly softened if needed. The goal of retouching is to make you look like the best version of yourself without changing your appearance.
